Beach Boys tapes
Some time ago (say 1997)I compiled three tapes of my favorite Beach Boys songs. They were for personal use, although I have sent them to some friends, and some have even become fans! Of course, these days, they are now playlists on my IPod! I purposefully left off some of the classic hits like Good Vibrations , California Girls and I Get Around, although I love these songs, I wanted to show an unknown, and generally more emotional side of the band on these tapes.
I included songs which have a strong Beach Boys connection, including solo work and productions by Brian.So here are my notes to the first tape, second tape and third tape, where I list and comment on many of my favorite songs.
